Charles R. Childs was a prominent Chicago photographer and post card manufacturer. He produced postcards from the early 1900s and continued working into the 1950s. The C.R. Childs Company produced postcard images from the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The donor, Earl Moore, a postcard collector from Wooddale, Illinois, met Childs prior to his death about 1960.
